Bala Raja
CEO and Co-Founder
Bala holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Houston (UH) and has over ten years of experience developing easy-to-use biosensing technologies; these included a microfluidic device for detection of potential bioterror agents and an array of rapid point-of-care tests for bacterial diagnostics. Bala assisted co-founder/CTO and labmate Andrew Paterson in the development of Clip Health’s core nanotechnology and early prototypes at UH, and partnered with Andrew and early employees to eliminate technical risks in the first few years. Bala has helped Clip Health raise tens of millions of dollars in venture and other non-dilutive funding since 2016, and leads its world-class interdisciplinary team committed to accelerating the world towards accessible, personalized, and actionable health testing.
